Failing Tradition are a four-peice screamo/rock band from Basingstoke, England. Formed in early 2007 , the band's current line up (having survived switches in bassists and singers) has only existed since October of 2008, when Tom Melville joined, travelling down from Bracknell to attend sessions with the band. The band was forged from the break up of Guitarist - Oliver Wilders' and Drummer - Taylor Baron's respective bands. Originally covering Red Hot Chili Peppers and Blink182 songs, it was quickly established that more was needed from this band for the two musicians. Rich Bird joined as bassist sometime around 2008, replacing Callum Lewington (the original bassist) and bringing a fresh angle to the band's sounds with his technical ability. The band have already impressed enough to branch out across the south of England and into the midlands in their time together.
