Emily Driscoll is a singer/songwriter originally from Milton Keynes, UK. She is self-taught in piano, guitar and drums and has a degree in Music Technology. Emily spends much of her spare time in her home studio recording solo material and collaborating on various other musical projects. She first performed live alongside the likes of U2UK whilst at University as the drummer for Stafford-based band Kohoutek, switching roles to guitar for acoustic performances. She later recorded and produced the EP "Hiding from the Sun" in 2008 before leaving University and relocating back to her hometown. Emily later joined local MK band The Magazines (who would go on to be known as Goodbye Empire) as the drummer and only female within the 5-piece. Goodbye Empire recorded their EP ‘Current Affairs’ in late 2009 and spent the following year performing in various venues including London's O2 Academy. They supported the likes of Bernie Marsden, the former Whitesnake guitarist before splitting in 2010 and going their separate ways. Since the split of Goodbye Empire, Emily has performed solo at various venues including MK's Midsummer Festival in 2011. Later that year, she took some time out from writing and recording to travel, recently returning from a 6 month Round-the-World trip. She is now comfortably back in the studio and recording material for her forthcoming debut album ‘Victim of Gravity’ due to be released Autumn 2012. Emily’s debut single ‘Ten Years On’ is available now as a free download. Read more on Last.fm.
