His releases often exploring themes of romance, heartbreak, isolation and loneliness in the urban sprawl. Elegance has forged an inimitable reputation as an artist/live artist and DJ, having played energetic shows at venues such as YES Manchester, The Glove That Fits and Iklectik London, Dareshack Bristol as well as guest mixes for NTS, Internet Public Radio and LIVEWIRE festival. His estimable discography displays his artistry, with an array of albums, EP's, singles, various alias and collab projects, compilation features and remixes for labels such as Dream Catalogue, Catfeeder (Japan), [the cult] Newcastle based label House Of The Leg (responsible for discovering Bakground) and his own label PUBLIC (with Dream Catalogue label mates Jude Frankum aka Remember and former label manager and creative director Nicol); which has seen releases from HKE, Sangam and the legendary sound track artist Yoshimi (Japan). More recently he has been prolifically releasing on his solo venture STROBELITE LITERATURE (Coming soon to Spotify).
