eill is a Japanese singer-songwriter from Tokyo born in 1998. Her music blends black-music influences like soul, R&B and dance, and her voice carries a mix of sweetness, longing, gloss, and strength. Her stage name comes from the Norse goddess Eir, symbolizing healing — she believes that music itself can heal. She started singing seriously around age 15 and began composing on her computer shortly after. In 2018 she debuted with the mini-album "MAKUAKE", which brought together retro-futuristic soul/funk, modern dance production and catchy pop hooks. Her major breakthrough came in April 2021, when she released “ここで息をして” as the ending theme for the anime "Tokyo Revengers". Since then she’s written emotionally rich songs that often explore light and darkness, confidence and vulnerability — themes she brings to life both in her studio recordings and her live performances. eill is also an accomplished songwriter for other artists: she has written for BE:FIRST, Taeyeon (former Girls’ Generation), EXID, NEWS, and more. She’s featured on tracks by musicians like SKY-HI, m-flo, and PINK SWEAT$, and even adapted Japanese lyrics for songs by the K-pop group IVE. In addition to her solo work, she performs with her childhood friends in a four-member band called CHIANZ. Her career continues to grow beyond Japan: she’s had her music featured in film and reality-TV tie-ins, and she’s now planning a major Asia tour following her new EP, "ACTION". https://www.instagram.com/_eill_/ https://x.com/_eill_ Read more on Last.fm.
