Dulce Quental met success in the early '80s as the lead vocalist and composer of Sempre Livre, a band that had a big hit with "Eu Sou Free." Her first solo album, "Délica", was released in 1985, in which she experimented with what the critics called "new bossa" - a style that blends pop, jazz and bossa nova. The repercussion was low, mostly because of the "difficulty" feature and little conceptual commercial repertoire. In her second algum, "Voz Azul", she made the debut of "Caleidoscópio" by Herbert Vianna, and thorugh her career various composers contributed to her repertoire, such as Arnaldo Antunes and Roberto Frejat, Arrigo Barnabé, Itamar Assumpção, Humberto Gessinger, among others. She continued to be requested as a lyricist between her third album, in 1988, to 2004 "Beleza Roubada", her first album in 15 years, again gaining great reviews by critics. Read more on Last.fm.
