Drop The Mitts formerly known as Energydrain was a Canadian Alternative Rock and Pop Punk band, formed in 2017 in Moncton, New Brunswick. Who took inspiration from bands such as Three Days Grace and Green Day. originally starting as a trio founded by Benson Campbell, Ethan Deroche, and Parker Stackhouse, before being briefly joined by Ethan Nicholson in 2019 to become a four member band, once again becoming a trio consisting of Benson Campbell, a returning Ethan Deroche, and new drummer Jude Borque, as well as renaming the band from Energydrain to Drop The Mitts before the release of their debut album, once again becoming four with the return of Parker Stackhouse now on guitar, as well as a new guitarist Josh McInnis. following Ethan Deroche's second departure from the band in March of 2021 On the 18th of August 2018 they released a demo for the song Sign Of Light, which would eventually be slightly reworked for their debut album, The Moments That Made Us. Their debut and only album The Moments That Made Us was released on July 30th 2020, the band also teased a never released second album via several instagram posts. The band went through slight lineup changes involving some members leaving due to personal commitments to education before and re-joining, switching instruments, or choosing to focus on their own projects.
