There are multiple artists with this name: (1) Droids were a French electronic "sci-fi disco" band, active in the late 1970's. Best known for their first - and only - single '(Do You Have) The Force' (1977), Droids released one album, 'Star Peace' (1978) on the Barclay label. (2) Droids are an alternative rock four piece from Derry, Northern Ireland.
