A short-lived but fruitful collaboration between friends Todd Fox and Sandro Perri. With little more than a moog and an echoplex, they produced 6 tracks of handmade dance music together in 1999. These loose sketches were intended as source material for live performances and were only ever recorded to cassette for reference. After hearing the tapes, Toronto visual artist Luis Jacob asked the duo for a remix of his spoken word piece “Without Persons” (other remixers included Peaches, Brandon LaBelle and Greek Buck).
Shortly after the pair finished this piece in the summer of ‘99, Todd Fox tragically drowned with his twin brother, Scott. The duo never performed live but a small band was assembled to perform “Never Ever Again” at the launch for Luis Jacob’s Remix CD on Oct 23, 1999 at The Weave in Toronto. It featured Sandro Perri (guitar, vocals), Yvonne Ng (vocals), Bret Higgins (double bass), David Choukran (cello) and Ayal Senior (accordian).
