Performing in clubs since he was 16, Alan Betancourt is a hard dance producer, DJ, and the creative force behind Betamuse. His father introduced him to synthesis, MIDI, and analog recording at a young age, and as a result, Alan has been in the studio for most of his life. In the late 90’s, he grew an avid fascination with electronic music, and bought his first pair of turntables and a mixer at 16. His persistence and dedication to the art of mixing was well received by the Miami community, and he quickly gained a reputation as being one of the youngest DJ’s in the scene. Alan began dabbling in electronic production soon after, producing hip hop beats and minimal grooves. Eventually he would be lead to Hardstyle music, which opened the doors to the harder sounds of dance, and he quickly found his niche. Through the music of Sy, Darren Styles, and Al Storm, Alan was introduced to UK Hardcore music, and since then has dedicated himself to spinning and producing the unique and energetic genre.
