Born on June 1st, 1987 in Saint Petersburg, Florida, DJ Jack Boy has been making music for nearly a decade. Only during recent years has he expanded beyond his hometown and achieved a global following. DJ Jack Boy is part of the growing "glitch hop" movement. His style of music is hard to describe for the uninitiated and difficult to group with any particular genre. Alien sounds are forcefully wrapped over abstractly sequenced drums while a barrage of familiar instruments orchestrate dramatic stories. His inability to stick with any particular genre, even for a single track, gives his music an easily identifiable flavor. As an artist, DJ Jack Boy has assumed many different aliases and released a staggering amount of music during his short career. A well-received techno cd was produced in 2008 under the name "DJ Ack" (Jack of Clubs) and he also has a fledgling rap career under the moniker "Jack Boy".
