Tokyo-via-London record collector DJ Himitsu dips into sublime ambient dance waters, luxuriant atmospheres and percussion nodding to everything from Far eastern traditions to Indonesian gamelan, and other rhythmelodic African styles and patterns. Driving 303 basslines and kickdrums are traded in for obscure recordings and convoluted samples, which spiral and fuse to form shuffling, heady new compositions.
