Based in Naklo, Slovenia, modern rock/post-grunge band Dirtswitch formed in early 2009. Following the break-up of Skystation, home to three of the four founding members of Dirtswitch, Jani Nendl, Rok Seifert and Uros Markic joined up with Luka Lamut and immediately began working on their own material. The band hit the studio in February 2010 and their debut album 'Phoenix down' was released on Sept. 7th, 2011. Heavily influenced by the grunge, modern rock and post-grunge artists of the past two decades, such as Alter Bridge, Soundgarden, King's X and Shinedown, the band's trademark sound is comprised of heavy, down-tuned riffs combined with powerful and memorable vocal lines.
