Dimitri started composing electronic music with his older brother's (Stefan Van Elsen) using Tascam 4-track cassette porta-studio and Roland MS10 synth when he was about age 15. In 1991 he went to the Antwerp Jazz Studio to study music and keyboards.
During this time the first full CD "Sublunar Oracles" was released under the name "Trans4m".
Teaming up with his brother and Mark Burghgraeve in 1993 - 1994, they released the first "Brain Pilot" CD. During this year he also made his "Matter" album which was never released and is free for download on his personal web page http://www.dimitrive.net
In the next few years he made several albums with his brother Stefan, by the aliases "Brain Pilot" and "Trans4m".
After a few years he joined forces with his brother and friend Gert Wijninckx on saxophone (Wijninckx appeared on the first Trans-4M CD "Sublunar Oracles") to form Phluff in 1999. Read more on Last.fm.
