Desperate for Compromise was a Melodic Metal/Metalcore/Alternative band from the South Bend,IN area. The band formed around since June of 2005, and released a four song demo which included such songs as "Me" and "Second Chances". The bands unique style is melodic yet, agressive with a classification difficult to make at times. In the Summer of 2006 they released their second effort, "Coalescence" which so far has impressed fans, and media alike. After the departure of guitarist Andy Kent, Nathan Krass (formally of the band Ston) took on duties as the second guitar player. Seth left the band in the spring of 2008 and instead of replacing him decided to move on and start a whole new project. With the addition of Jared Cook (formally of Colasi's Omen) to the four remaining members, the band took on a whole new form and OBSiDIA was born.
