Dead Branches is a hard-rocking kick-ass rock band and of the best instrumental rock bands I have had the pleasure to hear this year (2012). Especially when influenced by three of my fave bands - Baroness, Thin Lizzy and Mastodon. This feels like a supergroup jamming session of those great bands. It incorporates the hard-rocking riffs that Thin Lizzy made famous along with the Prog Sludge Riffs that Mastodon/Baroness bring. And it's a great blast that will have you hooked in no time at all. Dead Branches have 3 songs available for Free Download from their BandCamp page. The tracks - "Sunken Eyes, Broken Teeth", "Jump Into The Well" and "Lung Wings" show what a great band Dead Branches are actually are. If this is the start of Dead Branches I can't wait to hear what they sound like on a proper demo, EP or full length in the near future. It's staggering that this is a two man band as it sounds like a four man band. They have so much power for a two man band.
