De Bossen are a three-piece, almost all-women rockband from Antwerp. Through the years they've built a reputation with their energetic, trashy rock&roll shows - in which they seem to try to reinvent the genre over and over again.
The members of De Bossen are ravenous music lovers, who remain open to all different influences, but nevertheless they have developed a personal style.
Their simple songs are characterized by close harmony, organic rythms and often dissonant noise.
They love playing both fast singalong punkrock tunes as razorsharp, bittersweet ballads.
De Bossen have played all over Belgium and Holland and made succesful tours in Germany, supporting Dead Moon. They also supported diverse bands/artists as Steve Wynn, the Chrome Cranks, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, New Bomb Turks, the Cords, Mötorhead, Turpentines, Knoxville Girls, Soledad Brothers. In 1998 they played well reviewed shows at Euroslag (resulting in a very positive review in NME and raising the interest of John Peel) and Lowlands. They also appeared at VRT's breakfast tv-show De Zevende Dag. Read more on Last.fm.
