There are at least two artists that go by the name of David Bowden.
1. David Bowden was born in the UK but his family migrated to Australia before his first birthday. He has immersed himself in music since his teens, as a recording artist, broadcaster & working in the music business. He first released material under the "space remains" name in the late 90's but for the past 5 years has been releasing material under his own name. David has a broad range of influences, from modern alternative rock/pop such as Nick Cave, Radiohead & Spiritualized, through abstract soundscape artists like Eno, John Cage, Holger Czukay, King Tubby & Scientist to surrealist literature & film, but most importantly from events in his own life & lessons learned therein.
David's first solo album "Invisible People" reflects those many influences but strikes out on his own unique journey. A follow up album is planned for release in late 2010.
2. David Bowden is a poet who lives in Oklahoma City. David follows the tradition of the Beat Poets of the 1950’s and Slam Poets of the 1980’s. Using poetry to challenge and inspire individuals and groups to give a voice to the voiceless, promote social justice, and care for the needy throughout the world. Read more on Last.fm.
