Dave Gold, born Weston-Super-Mare, February 3rd, 1942. Composer, arranger, songwriter, musical director, record producer,bandleader. Influences are: Ray Charles, Quincy Jones, Bix Beiderbecke, Benny Goodman, Count Basie and others too numerous to mention. After living and working in Ireland for 11 years, Dave moved to France to run a bar / restaurant but returned at the end of 2010. He is currently working with the last surviving member of Sinatra's Rat Pack - Buddy Greco. Dave now arranges and composes for The Hot House Big Band, resident at The Mercantile in Dublin's Dame St. You really should check this band out some Monday night - Buddy Greco called them " the best big band I've heard in a long time ".
