Danny and the Nightmares came together after the Nightmares had been driving into Waller, TX when they spotted none other than Daniel Johnston being attacked by dogs on the side of the road, Daniel Johnston or not they felt they had to stop to help him out. After the rescue, Daniel thanked them and ask if they played guitar, they said yes and got his number.
