DA BOOGIEBOYS::: aka Hecki and Toby know each other since their childhood when they were neighbors. The first time they made their own music was at the age of 13 by using their AMIGA for productions. Fascinated by the techno movement in Germany both started spinning vinyls in 1996. After djing individually at local parties, the foundation of Da BoogieBoys finally took place in 2002. Since then they play at clubs and events all around Germany. Both cannot be connected with only one genre. They find influences in Electro, Techno and House but nevertheless are open for all sorts of music that rock. 2006 was the year of their breakthrough because that was when they signed a contract with Plasmapool Media Entertainment. Label owner Miles Dyson supported Da BoogieBoys with their first release “EXSS” on 12.inch.recordings that reached position 2 in the WebRecords- and 5 in the Trackitdown (UK) Charts. Only a few weeks later another record of the boys named “Audiotonique” arrived in stores and became a success as well. They also proved their feeling as remixers for Blende's "Get Lost EP". Together they created the project "G.D.R." and relesead the single "Woskip" in spring 2007. Their tracks were played by Klaxons (UK), Eddie Halliwell (UK), Beatfusion (GER), Blende (UK), Miles Dyson (GER), Les Petits Pilous (FR), Touché (UK), Dada Life (SWE), Kid Kenobi (AUS), just to name a few. This shows that they have got an important role in the electronic music scene. Being in their mid-twenties and as ambitious as they are, there is still much more to follow... Read more on Last.fm.
