cutsleeve is a queer East Asian rock band based in what is currently known as ‘Toronto, Canada'. Their music explores mental health, queerness, misogyny, and diaspora. Their goal as a band is to provide support and validation to others who share similar experiences. cutsleeve's start began at the Invisible Footprints art exhibit, which documents LGBTQ+ Asian histories in 'Toronto'. Their debut EP, the parts we could not abandon, will be released in the late summer of 2020. They want to thank the Vivek Shraya Arts Grant and OAC Music Recording Grant for funding this project.
