Chrome Corps (aka Chrome Corpse) is an electronic body music band founded in 2011 in Seattle, WA by Michael Pinch (aka Michael F9000) and Peter Jobson (aka Peter Fracture). Chrome Corpse began recording in 2015 and released the “Body to Flesh” EP in 2017. Later the same year, Peter left the band, and debut album “Chrome Corpse” was released, which was mostly influenced by industrial and noise.
In 2017, French vocalist and null split frontman Antoine Kerbérénès (aka Anton Hirnsturm), whom Michael met online, joined Chrome Corpse. In early 2018, they were in turn joined by live drummer James Shogren (aka Jimmy) and Night Terrors vocalist Enrique Otanez (aka Business Casual), thus completing the present studio line-up of Chrome Corpse. The band began performing live, with a fluctuating line-up constrained by geographic availability, and guest musicians are often brought onstage as well.
2019 album “Anything that moves” saw the band incorporating oldschool EBM (Front 242, A Split Second, Paranoid, and À;Grumh...), synth-pop and new beat influences to their style, and performing in Europe for the first time.
In 2020, Chrome Corpse released “Helmet Mounted Display”, an EP in which the band’s style further developed towards 90s house and Eurodance. A new album, to be released in 2021, is currently in production. Read more on Last.fm.
