On a year break until July 2008, Chairman Wow are reportedly "a 4-tuple from Edinburgh with nothing to lose". They are, in no special order, Richard Priestley (voice), Daniel Milnes (bass), Malcolm Barber (drums) and Stephen Kyle (guitar). Formed in 2006 and influenced by bands like The Mars Volta, Tool, Metallica, Chairman Wow sports a massive array of effects and prog-like arrangements all backed up by mellow and (some say) incubus-like vocals. They released their first EP, Moth, in August 2007 and they enjoy a privileged position amongst the bands in the progressive scene in Edinburgh.
