Calling themselves a Progressive Lyric Metal band, Céphée Lyra are a French band from Chambéry formed in April 2005 by Sylvain Claux (guitars) and Maud Hent (vocals). And why Progressive LYRIC Metal? Exactly because, as Meden Agan and Ex Libris, they mix a progressive sound with the operatic vocals of Maud as well as choirs. Did that combination worked this time? Let’s evaluate! After the 5-tracks EP «Dawn of Revelation» in 2009, the band releases on the end of 2010 the very first album, «A Sinner’s Loneliness», that promises a progressive journey between three of the Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath, Pride and Envy; during almost 50 minutes guided by the operatic vocals of Maud and sometimes of guests or choirs.
