Love for his homeland, research and recovery of popular traditions, those traditions whose roots are anchored in the pastoral world. Carmelo Salemi has recovered from that world a universe of sounds, centred around the “friscalettu”, the traditional cane flute left to us by the ancient Greek shepherds and which today takes on the role of a solo instrument.
