Cameron John Reid (born June 9th, 2008) is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, and actor based in Lilburn, Georgia. He is primarily known for his viral hits such as bye2you and Bloodshot.
Cameron was born in Florence, South Carolina on June 9th, 2008 to Rebekah Jackson and Jamal Reid. He was the only child up until May 2016 where his younger sister was born. During his only child days, Cam would spend his time reading, drawing, and listening to artists such as Becky G. He always looked up to her and wanted to be on her level of fame in the music industry.
Cam acquired his education from various schools, but the most notable being Royall Elementary for half of his kindergarten years, Sneed Middle School for middle school, and Meadowcreek High School currently.
Aside from music, Cameron also aspires to be an actor. He was cast in a Little Mermaid play at Royall Elementary in 2020 that ultimately cancelled due to COVID.
During his tween years, he developed a love for singing. Around this time in 2020, he met a friend named Dawn Rooney who shared the same passion. In 2021, Cam began recording demos for Dawn of songs she would write and then release under Dawn's name. This skyrocketed Dawn's career to where Cam was inspired wanted to make his own music.
In July 2022, Cameron announced that he'd be starting a music career and recorded his debut single, Bloodshot and released it the next week. Around the time of this single, Cameron was under fire for drama surronding his now ex-best friends Christopher Jones and Nazhir Pickens. This lead to more music Cam made, such as Believe That, SALT, Bad Karma, and Aww, that's sweet(ish). With the drama fueling his ego and dis-heartening him aswell, Cameron decided to continue his music career so he could express everything he had bottled up through out the years.
In November 2022, Cameron met a guy named Marcus who began dating on Thanksgiving of that year. However, the broke up just days later on the 29th due to cheating allegations against Marcus and he said couldn't take it anymore. This hurt Cam but he accepted it. He also created Forever His after the breakup because he didn't know what else to do. However, sometime after Christmas in 2022, Cam said that Marcus removed him on Snapchat and blocked him on Instagram. This confused Cam until Diamond told him that Marcus didn't actually like him and deemed him annoying. Cam then went from confused to enraged because of that fact that he was played and lied to like how Nazhir did him. Speaking of which, Cam also was enraged because in June 2022, Cam began to notice how Jeramiah Jones and Takis Marigolas only posted Nazhir on their stories and strangely only followed people that Cam either was close with or knew. This was suspicious by Cameron and he then came to the conclusion that Nazhir catfished him back in August 2022 and then later attempted to catfish him in March 2023. Again, this enraged Cam but also made him very hysterical over the fact that Nazhir was still obsessing over him. Also throughout the years, Cameron's relationship with his mother hadn't been good ever since Travis was born. Alongside that, Cam commonly gets himself tied up in drama in Benji Krol's fanbase on Instagram. All these factors lead to Cameron announcing his third studio album, Villain Mode on Halloween Day in 2023.
In February 2024, Cameron posted a vampire styled Instagram post that was rumored to be another hint at Villain Mode as most of the comments were asking Cam if he was in a new era. Read more on Last.fm.
