BURDEN OF ARMS is a metalcore band from the Hudson Valley area of NY. The band began when Andrew Stewart (guitars), Justin Myers (guitars), and Will Riggs (drums), all formerly of the band Nothing But Madder, decided to put together a new project. Shortly thereafter Ryan Smith (vocals) and John Bryan (bass) rounded out the roster. The band put together a 5-song demo, and went on to play a number of shows with the bands including All Else Failed, Anterrabae, Between the Buried and Me, Bury Your Dead, Dead to Fall, My Bitter End, The Warriors, My Safe Haven and With Honor. After almost two years of shows the band packed it in as members moved out of the area and onto new projects. They have reunited for two reunion shows since then and have a few more in the works.
