Formed in the Fall of 2006, Bubonic Souls is an eclectic group that works with funk, groove, R&B, soul, jazz, and rock styles to transmit love, peace, freedom, and justice through their musical vibrations. Equipped with a powerful horn duo, rock solid rhythm section, and tight vocal harmonies, the Souls exude an energetic and composed stage presence. Wielding an original, balanced repertoire of relaxed grooves and uptempo funk, the Massachusetts Daily Collegian hailed the band as being "tight, energetic and highly danceable." As the winners of two Pioneer Valley 'Battle of the Bands', Bubonic Souls has been known to muster sizable crowds, especially for Hampshire College's 'Step It Up Day' (an event aimed at cutting carbon emissions) and performances at local nightclubs in Northampton, Massachusetts. Their versatility has gained them supporting spots for artists such as Erik Krasno of Soulive, Plus Move, and hip-hop legend KRS-ONE.
