Brandon Johnson is a songwriter from Wilmette, Illinois. He started out on piano at five, but after several years quit due to disinterest in the type of music being taught. Brandon was also heavily involved with musical theater for a number of years, eventually leaving to pursue sports. Years later, he picked up the guitar with hopes of playing with his friends. When that failed to take shape, he continued learning on his own. Brandon attended Indiana University, where he befriended several students with recording equipment, and immediately became infatuated. Although not part of the music school, Brandon spent most all his time there learning as much as possible. After attempts at forming bands with classmates proved fruitless, Brandon wrote and recorded the album, "On The Run" in september 2009, shortly before moving to Chicago. He currently lives in Chicago, where he is writing and recording his second album.
