There are two artists known as Brahm:
Brahm [2] is a screamo band from the Bay Area, California, affiliated with Zegema Beach Records.
What began as a simple fascination with hip-hop in the 1980s became a living for Chaz Barber, who records sample-based music as Brahm [1] . As a youth, the Washington, D.C.-area artist bought hundreds of records, to the point where they overtook his living space. In 1994 he went one step further and purchased a ASR sampling keyboard. Soon Barber began recycling his old records into new productions of his own. Perhaps just as importantly, though, he also began producing various D.C.-area artists, from hip-hop groups like Infectious Organisms and Optical the Visionary to jazz musicians and rock bands such as Frodus. In 2002 he debuted as Brahm with A Thousand Curves, and followed it in 2005 with Built to Be Brought Down. In addition to his work as Brahm, Barber is also one half of Night Is Invisible with Nathan Burke. Read more on Last.fm.
