There will never be something like Bong Da City. A Hardcore Hip-Hop crew/supergroup from Greece (Athens & Thessaloniki) formed in 2007, which united many small hip-hop groups into one.
The crew members consisted of Mani, Tsaki, INKA, Styl Mo, Κako (Kakoithis), Mastigo, Rio Epsilon Pi, Adoxos and Relic (Relik Berkowitz).
Their beats were produced by mostly Jessy Blue and Mani, both members of the group.
They released 4 albums, one being a compliation album of unreleased track.
Gothamtape (2007), Arkham Asylum (2009), Kakopoioi K' Egklimaties (2010, Compilation) and Purple 'n Blue (2011).
Before Bong Da City, there was Who's Next, a small compilation of many other small Greek hip-hop crews, such as Fovies, now called Fi Vita Sigma, Risko Team, Νόημα, Δίχως Συμπόνια, and ΟMIKA.
The members were influenced by bands like Wu Tang Clan, M.O.P., MC Sniper, Foreign Beggars, Task Force, Smut Peddlers, Sunz of Man, Killarmy and Gravediggaz.
The team announced their break up in June 7th 2013, which oddly enough, the leader of the group; Mani, denied on Facebook. They broke up due to inside disagreements with money and sharing. A user on Reddit says that a member of the group, Mani, was very selfish and saw himself as the "front-man" of the group, as far as where in the mixing of the tracks, he wanted his vocals to be on his own sound channel while the rest of the members being all in one sound channel.
After the break up of Bong Da City, they split into three main groups.
Φοβίες (Fi Vita Sigma): Mani & Rio
Χάσε την Πίστη σου (Xi Taf Pi): Κακοήθης (Κako) & Ε.Π. (Epsilon Pi)
Joker/Two-Face (J2F): Tsaki & Styl Mo
Jessy Blue still produces for all above groups. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
