Hailing from Los Angeles, CA., Black Umbrella is the brainchild of one Derek James, whose singular pop vision is a refreshing antidote to the sometimes samey current indie scene. Inhabiting a strange netherworld where the likes of The Chameleons, My Bloody Valentine and Ultra Vivid Scene never disappeared, it's like the 1990's never happened! The revolving lineup currently includes Daniel Soltyka (Guitar/Bass) & Ian Belknap (Drums).
