Law - mandolin In 2008, Dan (aka Grafton Silos) and percussionist Mick (aka Butch Johandson) united as a acid-death-country duo and took on the name Black Oak Hymnal. Based in San Diego, they subsequently recorded and self-published two critically praised albums, Hand Drawn Map Through A Killer's Heart and My Central Valley Blood Brother. After publishing Is There Gold in Death? with Mek Stewart as Narrow Lake, they took a short hiatus and spent time in the experimental instrumental outfit Elvis Pink and The Memphis Reds. Now part of the Lost Cosmonaut Records roster, Black Oak Hymnal has recruited Russ (aka Russ T.
