Before the Fall ist eine österreichische Metal-Band aus Wien.
Before the Fall wurde 2005 von Michael Kronstorfer (Gesang, Gitarre) und Rudolf Obermann (Gitarre) gegründet und setzt sich weiters aus, Bane Sibinovic (Gitarre), Hannes Schweiger (Bass) und Philip Deniflee (Schlagzeug) zusammen. Bereits ein Jahr nach der Gründung bekam die Band einen Plattenvertrag bei dem österreichischem Label Noisehead Records.
Im Dezember 2006 erschien ihr Debütalbum From Mutism to Riddance. Ihr Stil ist beeinflusst von Pantera, Slayer, Sepultura oder Carcass aber auch Hardcorebands wie Sick of it all oder Hatebreed.
2007 spielten sie unter anderem auf dem SummerNights Festival, am Metalcamp in Slowenien und am Rock Hell Festival. Mit dem Wechsel zum deutschen Plattenlabel Twilight im Oktober 2007 geht die Band mit dem holländischen Death-Metal-Urgestein Gorefest auf Europa Tournee.

Formed in that most musical of cities -- Vienna, Austria -- by guitarists Michael Kronstorfer (who also happens to be the vocalist for the project) and Rudolf Obermann, Before the Fall draw their influences from such names as Pantera, Slayer, and Carcass. Well ensconced in a sea of thrash and hardcore, the band soon fleshed out its lineup after its 2005 inception by roping in guitarist Bane Sibinovic, bassist Hannes Schewiger, and drummer Phillip Beniflee. Within a year, the band scored a deal -- with Noisehead -- and released its debut album -- From Mutism to Riddance -- in mid-2006. The band traveled from festival gig to festival gig in 2007, and also signed a new deal with German label Twilight. ~ Chris True, All Music Guide
* In August 2008, a new drummer, Maurizio Guolo, joined the band and in May 2009, also a new bassist, Bobby B. Bastard, joined the band.
** They are currently working on a new album, whose title is planned to be "Antibody", and whose release is planned somewhere for the beginning of 2010.
