There are at least two bands called Aviaries: 1) Wandering through the dark climes of Wroclaw, Poland we happen upon Aviaries – young quartet that boldly burst into scene with massive low and minor key splendor. Moody, liminal, rather pulsing with mystique, Aviaries thread the three strands of new-wave, post-punk and shoegaze. They have supported such international acts as Small Black, Twin Shadow, PVT and Crystal Fighters. They released a demo EP, Hydrology, in January 2011 and released an EP featuring two new songs, Ribbons and Bermuda, in May, 2011.
