Hailing from the urban wasteland Northeast Atlanta, Ava Vail (real name Alex) doesn't seem like your average producer. Drawing from the sounds of the UK street scene although distant in reality, he takes from a variety of influences including Netsky, Kanye West, Alix Perez, and many other seminal producers. His artistic reflexes were first put on the page creating lo-fi hip hop and ambient tunes before stumbling upon the genre that changed his sound: drum and bass.
