Aurelio Bonelli (* 1569 in Bologna , † after 1620) was an Italian organist, composer and painter.
Little is known about the life of Bonelli, only that he was a pupil of the painter Agostino Carracci. Ernst Ludwig Gerber dedicated to him in 1790 in the first volume of his "Historical and Biographical Lexicon ....," an entry and refers to him as a significant Musician and artist. Bonelli worked in Bologna on the churches of San Michele in Bosco (1602) and San Giovanni in Monte (1620). By 1600, he is also mentioned as an organist in Milan.
1596 appeared in Venice, a first series of three-part villanelles and 1602, a second collection of four-part Ricercari and canzoni, and two eight-part toccata and dialogues for two keyboard instruments, one of which is among other things a copy in the Public Library of Augsburg. Read more on Last.fm.
