asKesem is the solo project of Adi Shachar. Born in Jerusalem and raised in Rome, she began producing and performing music while living in the U.S. Formerly half of the Baltimore-based duo Sexoesthetic, asKesem is known for her genre-averse DJ sets and hypnotic soundscapes. Influenced by various musical styles, club cultures, and a post-internet plethora of sound associations, she draws prominently from drum and bass, jungle, industrial, and dub.
