It is said that high doses of effort and perseverante is the key to success. After years playing in different bands and different clubs, the members of AS MY WORLD BURNS can confirm the saying and are ready to revolutionize the extreme metal scene not only in their country but outside it too. The project started in 2007 when Txus ( guitar ), Alex ( drums ) and Alberto ( guitar ) found themselves in a dead end after the split of their previous band Freak Inc. Instead of giving up the band started looking for a bass player and vocalist. They found Miguel ( bass player A-Trap System ) and Raul ( Aracnophobico, Ex-Lost Mind, Ex-Autumn Promises ). With these new members the band began to write new stuff that was characterised by aggressiveness and technique. “ LETTERS FROM ALASKA” is the debut of the band, an explosions of all kinds of feelings. The Album was published by the Austrian label Noisehead Records and distribuited in EEUU by Relapse Records. The debut of the band has been recorded in Noisehead studios ( Wien ) produced by Mario Jezik LETTERS FROM ALASKA is a shoot to the head, the album can be defined as a sublime mix of Death Metal, Hardcore, Thrash and strokes of progressive sometimes close to Mathcore. Gutural and melodic voices and brutal riffs acompained by a sublime good taste of drumming. In the album we can find the most insane passages in the line of The Dillinger Escape Plan but also Melodic Post-Hardcore influences like bands such Burst. All this brutality is cloacked in a strong influence of surrealism you can find in the lyrics. The minimalist and the avant garde artwork design is a representation of the whole album image, words and music is very closely related. These release becomes a safe bet for all metal fans who will surely enjoy the album and the brutality of their shows. Since its formation in early 2008, AS MY WORLD BURNS has given dozens with famous Spain,s underground bands such as INBRED, ONE LAST WORD, VORTICE, SOUND OF SILENCE, DELLAMORTE DELLAMORE, etc…and first line like SKIZZO or STRAVAGANZZA . They has also had the honor of sharing the stage with bands of the international scene as TRIGGER THE BLOODSHED ( UK), HYPNO5E (FRA ), BEFORE THE TORN ( POR ) or BETWEEN THE BURIED & ME, BURIED INSIDE ( CAN ) and TOMBS (USA ) on their first tour around Spain. The band´s sound encompasses a wide range of styles ranging from Death Metal classic to the new genres like Mathcore, Deathcore, etc… All this not forgetting the melody, wich undoubtedly has great weight in all his compositions.
