Born and raised in Charlotte, NC Analogtronics (Ben Hostetler) has been involved with music since 2004. Getting his start playing double bass in orchestra, Ben realized he had a love and passion for music that needed to be expressed further. He played in garage bands and had acoustic acts but it was not until 2007 that he began producing his own original music. When his first year of college began he had to leave his bands behind and his first two years at UNC-Pembroke he had nothing but time to learn the inner workings of varies DAWs and continue to express himself though music. After his second year of college he decided to leave UNC-Pembroke and study Music at Appalachian State University. He got into the music program and went into the recording and production concentration. He quickly excelled and caught the attention of others with his projects because they we're always electronic and had a commercial sound. As he continued classes started to get even more into progressive house, dub step, and electro. Building his own small home studio he has worked with hip hop artist and bands as a recording engineer and producer. With the extra income he was able to purchase new gear such as Maschine, a Roland Gaia SH-01, and Traktor S4. Analogtronics was now ready to take his electronic music to the masses. His first performance was at the Red Bull DJ competition in December of 2011 where he won 3rd place and made a name for himself amongst the town of Boone, NC. After that he played house parties and underground raves until mid 2012 when he decided to spend more time producing. He got into online remix competitions and won first place with his remix of Canadian pop band Take The Night "Love me in the Dark."
