Among the living starting out in the winter of 2001 with the intention to play the music they were all into without having to worry about originality. All members have different backgrounds but they all share the love for music in general and the desire to play in an energetic band which has no limits when it comes to brutality and heavyness. In july 2002 Among the living recorded their 3 song demo (discontent records) which received good reactions and was sold out in one month.With a mix of powerful hardcore and brutal metal riffs Among the living has played over 50 shows in the last two years with amazing bands like : No turning back, Kickback, Shattered Realm, Himsa, INRI, Black friday 29, Dominator, 50 Caliber, Inhuman, Caliban and tons more. In the summer of 2003 Among the living headed to the Franky's recording kitchen. Under the supervision of God dethroned's Henri Sattler they recorded 10 songs which will see the day as a 6 song mini cd on Dark Chronicle records and a split 10" (Deadlock records) cd (Crash landing records/ virgin blood records) with Dominator.
