Ambrose Tompkins are led my singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Rob Waddington. Sometimes it's just Rob on his own, other times they're a 2, 3, 4, or 5-piece band featuring an ever-changing line-up of friends and family members. Influenced by everything from early blues and gospel recordings through to sea shanties, folk music and ramshackle rock n roll, they make for a truly entertaining band, particularly live where they've opened for the likes of The Go! Team, the Brian Jonestown Massacre and Holly Golightly. There's a brand new album 'Merry In The Stinkhole' due out in 2011 on Regular Beat.
