Jyväskylä based musician Akseli Hiltunen has struggled his whole life to become the artist he is today. Born without the use of both of his legs his childhood years went on Jyväskylä school for handicapped children, where he found purpose on studying finnish literature and occult (Such as Ilkka Remes, Peter Siitoin and Jonathan Shedd). He also began to play the guitar at an early age performing his first concert at the graduation party of the Jyväskylä elementary school for handicapped children.
After school he pursued his dream career as a musician founding the band "Käppäti läpäti", playing humorous "kupletti" songs in the style of Esa Pakarinen. For which he learned the accordion. Those years shaped his modern progressive indie music with quirky humour of many finnish comedians such as Esa Pakarinen and Vesa-Matti Loiri, whom still is Akseli's biggest musical role model.
After publishing his third album Akseli decided that piss had risen too high to the heads of his band mates and disbanded the band and decided that since regaining the use of both of his hands he had only used them for evil. So he stopped using them until 2024 when he found again the love for music. This love came back after repeated views of his all time favourite movie Ponterosa (2001), which inspired him to write the songs for the album "Paradigma". The album is a concept album that's musical themes hover tightly around the deep and philosophical themes of the movie starring the past amazing athlete Ludwig Borga.
After publishing the fourth album Akseli has gone on tour with his new band whom he keeps scoldig after every show as not to let piss raise to their heads as had happened with the previous band. Akseli keeps bravely using both of his hands to unleash his evil of circus/carneval music upon us all.
As a solo artist Akseli has published four albums:
Parafilia - Lauluja ulkopuolelta (2014)
Pandemia - Lauluja alamaista (2016)
Promethea - Lauluja tuolle puolen (2018)
Pradigma - Homo economicus (2025) Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
