Add The River, took shape in March 1999. First band name was "Space Dye Vest", with Jim Manikis on vocals, Alex Manikis & Akis Pastras on guitars, Stratos Kapolas on bass & John Vaskos on drums. Two months later, they released their first demo (live rehearsal recording), with compositions in the alternative rock way. Add The River, took shape in March 1999. First band name was "Space Dye Vest", with Jim Manikis on vocals, Alex Manikis & Akis Pastras on guitars, Stratos Kapolas on bass & John Vaskos on drums. Two months later, they released their first demo (live rehearsal recording), with compositions in the alternative rock way. Before Jim's Manikis replacement by Akis Pastras on vocals, they released their second five track studio demo,with the collaboration of Septic Flesh's frontman Spyros A. as guest. Three experimental demos followed, recorded at their own studio (Versus Studio) with Akis on vocals at last, that extracted positive rewiews and comments of criticals and radio stations. Their sound, with decisive influences from Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, has starred in several clubs in Athens (An Club,, Ston Aera, Camel Club, Gagarin 205, MoBetter Club, Underworld etc) and in other venues all over Greece (Monolith Fests-Syros, Ardas 2002-Ebros, Popland Fest-Antiparos). In December 2003, they began the recording of their first completed album, with the collaboration of Septic Flesh's member Chris A. ..boards with a new style that represents the whole group. The album "Add The River" is a self-released production and it's free for the audience and anyone can download it from the "secret link" that the band gives you after a message. Nowdays the band looking for a new bass player as Stratos Capolas left the band.
