There are at least two bands named ABACINATE. 1. Thrash metal band from Nieuwleusen, Netherlands. Formed in 1989, this cult band released one demo, "Out of the System" in 1991 before abandoning the ABACINATE moniker for the name "Out of the System." 2. Jason Sica. 1985-2010 ABACINATE (NJ) Less than a year after releasing their punishing full-length debut, Ruination, Abacinate has reemerged with a brand new 4 song EP titled A King's Thirst for the Frosty Brew. While maintaining the relentless brutality that the band has become known for, King's Thirst streamlines and focuses the band's sound, making it all the more brutal in the process. The four tracks that make up the new EP immediately catapult the listener into a neverending maze of hyperactive riffing and massive breakdowns. Abacinate has managed to boil their sound down to its most base elements: a no bullshit, in-your-face, all out assault. In preparation for what will be an intense and arduous writing process for its next full-length effort, Abacinate is releasing A King's Thirst for the Frosty Brew as a way to tide their fans over. In the meantime, the band will be blanketing the globe with the EP, distributing free copies at shows and via the band's Myspace page. The band plans to spend the second half of this year touring and preparing for the next record.
