8bit Pipe's story begins in 2007. Six people teamed up to creatively blend computer-based sounds (especially 8-bit ones, reminiscent of the golden age of consoles) with each member's particular tastes and influences. Video games, art, rock and the bizarre were all mixed up in this whimsical constructive clash. With an obvious reference to the golden era of Nintendos and Amigas, 8bit Pipe makes reference to the game world both in sound and imagery, searching continually to expand the possibilities of electronics in its unique take on rock 'n' roll. Nathalie's lilting melodies and screaming lines, together with the tight drum and bass thump delivered by Fi and Billy, perfectly weave with Thithio's and Guile's rock guitars to weave crisp pop nuggets. Together with Boris expertise on electronics and command over all synth elements, 8bit Pipe creates a fresh-sounding take on chiptune rock. The band's debut album contains 13 original tracks and was recorded and mixed by Tiago Hóspede, Adriano Daga and Brendan Duffy at the Norcal Studios in São Paulo. Nilesh Patel from the Exchange Mastering Studios in London, was responsible for the mastering.
