Joseph Ellis-Stevenson (19 October 1988 – March 2026), known professionally as Zeph Ellis and Dot Rotten, was a British MC, rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer from Lambeth, South London. He released a series of independent mixtapes under the name Young Dot, later performing as Dot Rotten. Ellis subsequently signed with Mercury Records and released his debut studio album "Voices in My Head" in 2013. After leaving the label, he released several independent EPs and other projects. He later adopted the name Zeph Ellis and focused primarily on music production. Ellis was associated with developments in grime production, including the use of sampling techniques and the incorporation of sung hooks in grime tracks. These elements appear in recordings throughout his career, from his early work as Young Dot to later releases under the name Zeph Ellis.
