The band started in 1993 and got the name from a vocal exercise and is pronounced zeal-lee-my. The original line up was Jeff Welty on guitar and vocals. Mike Ahrens on drums and J. Greg Morrison on bass. There were 8 songs recorded and a few shows played at The University of Akron Wayne College between 1993 and 1994. After that everyone started playing in different bands and doing different things. 
 In 2005 Jeff started writing for zeelemy again and the new songs were recorded with Jeff on guitar, bass, and vocals and Cory Stevic on Drums. The self titled album was released in 2007. In 2012 Echoes of Time was released. All the songs are instrumental. The album is more a movie soundtrack. There are videos for each song and is available on YouTube. Jeff plays keyboards and did the drum programming. 
 2020 the new song “Never Will” is released. The song was one of the first zeelemy songs written back in 1993. Updating the song, Jeff played guitar and bass.
