Ulyana Avteniuk, who uses the stage name YUVI, is a producer, songwriter, and DJ currently based in Kyiv, Ukraine. While she has not publicly disclosed her exact date or place of birth, she has been training in music since she was six years old. She initially studied vocals and wind instruments, such as the clarinet and saxophone, and later graduated from the R. Glier Kyiv Institute of Music as a saxophone teacher. Her career began as a songwriter for commercial artists; notably, the singer Jamala released a song that Avteniuk wrote when she was only 15 years old. In 2018, she started teaching herself electronic production to gain better control over her creative vision. YUVI’s music is known for combining experimental electronics and bass-heavy rhythms with emotional lyrics. She received widespread recognition following the 2023 release of her single "Жива" and her first EP, По тобі, which was followed by her debut full-length album, Спомина Любову, in 2024. In interviews, she describes her songs as a way to handle internal feelings of sadness and anxiety, reflecting her experiences living in Ukraine during the current conflict.
