VPRO is a dutch broadcasting organisation. They have a name for making alternative and progressive programs on both public radio and television. They were among the first media organisations in the Netherlands to professionally use the internet. They are the forerunners in casting streaming audio too. In early years popular shows such as De Mannen van de Radio and Radio Bergeijk were casted using realaudio. More recently they adopted the popular mp3 podcast format for many programs.
